who are we?

We are a group of passionate individuals who share a common interest in humanitarian work and a desire to help those who find themselves in difficult and hopeless situations in Africa.

Here, we have attached pictures of some of the driving forces in the organization, including Ronnie Lubega Solberg and Leif Nordli. Ronnie is a unique blend of Norway and Tanzania and moved to Norway at the age of three. His father previously worked in Tanzania as a humanitarian worker

Leif Nordli has worked for Norad for many years, and has over 25 years of experience in Africa. He has been involved in starting several charity projects, including those related to agriculture, schools, orphanages, family homes, and sending numerous containers of equipment and emergency aid.

Sammen For Afrika (Together For Africa) is a non-profit organization engaged in social welfare and emergency aid in Africa. Our primary focus is on orphaned children and single mothers living in poverty. We place a strong emphasis on improving child survival rates and ensuring their safety and upbringing.

The formation of our own organization is driven by the fact that many of us have already been involved in this type of humanitarian work for several years. As an independent organization, we have the opportunity to help where larger organizations may not reach, and we can do it in the way we believe works best, based on our experience.

Given our valuable expertise and experience, we reach out to ‘forgotten areas’ and can provide assistance in smaller, less ‘commercial’ places. There is an increasing demand for aid, and we have taken it upon ourselves to do our best to help and facilitate a fairer life and security for children. We also collaborate with similar organizations that share our core values.

good contributions, create good results

Lack of water and clean water sources in Africa is nothing new and millions die every year due to poor drinking water, and around 40% of these are children.

Help for self-help! Give a sack of corn, and one can be full for a week. Learn how to grow corn, and you can be full for the rest of your life!

The majority of children are still unvaccinated in Africa, and around 1 in 5 children are either not vaccinated at all, or undervaccinated.

In Africa, schooling is not free, and it is also not certain that they will be allowed by their parents to go to school, but will instead be sent out to work. If they don't have parents, they often end up on the streets.

This is a recurring question, but there is no one-size-fits-all answer; it’s entirely up to you and what you feel like giving.

Your support and donation, regardless of the amount, contribute to helping and improving the quality of life for many who truly need it in Africa.

As we are so fortunate that many young people also want to contribute, we have created a “Little Helper” version to become a regular donor. Here you can give from 48 kroner every month.

Every bit helps, and we are all very grateful, no matter what you choose!

We have a desire to make a positive impact, and we hope to find more who share our vision.

Everyone in our organization shares a common goal – a cause close to our hearts that unites us all. We want to contribute and make a meaningful difference for those in vulnerable life situations in Africa!
