PROJECT FOR 2024 – 2025

We have finally received approval to build a new orphanage in the Pwani-region!

Now we need your help to gather as many donations as possible so that we can realize this project as quickly as possible. The orphanage will have the capacity to care for 50 children and create valuable jobs for the local community.

This project is an important step towards providing children in need with a safe and nurturing environment, and we are deeply grateful for all the support and contributions. Your participation helps us turn this vision into reality, and together we can make a lasting and positive difference in the lives of these children.

Construction is set to begin in December 2024 or as soon as possible, depending on contributions from you and others. We are excited to get started! 🫵💪😍🙏

More information about the projects

Own “Farm.” On our property, the orphanage will have its own agricultural area of 5 acres (more than three large football fields in size). In October 2024, over 100 new coconut trees, corn, peanuts, cassava, sweet potatoes were planted on the farm, and we also have several large mango trees. More will be planted and prepared for future use, so that we can become self-sufficient in several areas, while also teaching the children about agriculture and allowing them to participate actively.

Visitor Houses. There is a lack of opportunities to travel to Africa to work with charity. We have addressed this need based on your positive feedback. Therefore, we are building three visitor houses. Here, individuals who have finished school can come down to stay with us for a period as volunteers/helpers and experience Africa in a different way.

Location. The orphanage is situated in a remote agricultural area with few residents, providing a safe and peaceful atmosphere with low crime rates. It is within walking distance to schools and the “village center.” It takes approximately two hours by car to reach Dar Es Salaam.

Floor Plan for the Orphanage
The orphanage will include:

  • Guard house
  • Staff house
  • Laundry area (for clothes)
  • Visitor houses
  • Washing area (for hands)
  • Outdoor kitchen ( African kitchen, wood-fired)
  • Indoor kitchen, storage (gas-fired)
  • Toilets + HC
  • Multifunctional building, storage, office

SAFETY, CARE AND WELL-BEING

Every child has their own unique story and reasons why they need help. Some have parents who died of AIDS, fled from abusive parents, or that they are simply not wanted. It is also often poverty and hopelessness that force parents to abandon their children.

We see it as our task to ensure that children who come to us receive the safety and care they deserve. At the same time, we can help enrich their future with love, education, and be an anchor in their upbringing where they can have belonging, be seen and included.

All of this is something we get to do because of “helpers” like you!
